BOB WRIEDT

SENIOR PASTOR

FAVORITE BOOK(S):
The three writers who shaped me the most are:

  • Tim Keller, especially Prodigal God and Reason for God

  • CS Lewis, especially Letters to Malcolm and Mere Christianity

  • Henri Nouwen, especially In the Name of Jesus

Honorable mention to: Dallas Willard, Rebecca McLaughlin, Fleming Rutledge, Mark Dever, Paul Tripp, Marilynne Robinson, John Piper, and D.A. Carson.

FAVORITE MOVIE(S):
Hamilton

LAST MEAL ON EARTH:
If I can get it from anywhere, it's probably the marinated tri-tip from Star Market in Salinas, CA (where I grew up). If it's here in the Seal Beach/Long Beach area, it's a thai curry pizza from Dean's in Long Beach.

SONG THAT GETS YOU ON THE DANCE FLOOR:
Anything upbeat by Bruno Mars.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
“If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all that he said; if he didn't rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said? The issue on which everything hangs is not whether or not you like his teaching but whether or not he rose from the dead.” Tim Keller

FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR JOB:
The 30 minutes after each service on Sunday mornings when I get to greet people on the patio, pray with them, hear about their lives, welcome people who are new to the church, and laugh together.
