Thank you for your interest in joining us on Sunday for a worship service at Grace Seal Beach. We want to help you feel well-prepared for your visit.

Where do I park?   There's a parking lot directly across 8th Street, as well as visitor parking in the alley behind the church building (accessible via Central Ave). If both of those are full, there's plenty of street parking. Don't worry about the 1 hour parking signs, the service won't run so long you'll get a ticket. Finally, if all else fails, there's City of Seal Beach parking lot at the beach (about a block away, down 8th St). The parking fee there is $3 for 2 hours.

Where do I go?   When you walk up the the church building, you'll see an older chapel next to a large lawn. That's the Surfside Chapel, where our high school and middle school ministries meet. The larger building, to the southern/beachside direction, is where we have the worship services, and where the kids classes are. Enter through the double doors there, and head right for worship, or go left and upstairs for the "Kids' Cove' (for kids 3 years old - 5th grade).

How long will the service be?   The worship services start at 8am, 9:30 am, and 11 am. They each are about 65 - 70 minutes long.

What will the service be like?   We aim to create worship services that are God-centered, joyful, participatory, and inclusive of all generations. They will include singing, prayers, readings, updates on church ministries, an offering, and a thirty minute sermon.

Do I need to bring anything?   The sermon will teach through a section of the Bible, so if you have one, feel free to bring it with. If you don't, no problem, we'll have some Bibles there, or you can just listen. You'll be given a bulletin at the door that will also help you to follow along.

What should I wear?   Whatever you're comfortable in. Some people dress up, some wear shorts. It's all up to you.

Will you ask me to do something?   Our goal will be to help engage you in worship, but not to single you out our embarrass you. At times the whole congregation is asked to stand together (for some of the singing and for the reading of the Scripture). When we take the offering (about half-way through the service), we don't expect you to support the church financially.

What happens after I visit?   That's up to you. We would like to help you get connected at Grace, so we'll ask you in the service to fill out a "Welcome Card" and put it in the offering. If you're interested in talking to a pastor about next steps, we'll contact you.
